Behind the Little Doors: 10 UK CBD Advent Calendars Under the Magnifying Glass for 2026

Why advent maths matters in November 2026

November is when UK CBD brands start shouting about advent calendars. The photos are lovely: tiny bottles, snow-dusted boxes, a ribbon that says 'treat yourself'. The problem is that a calendar can look generous while containing less CBD than a single mid-strength oil bottle. So we zoomed in.

We looked at ten boxes on the UK market for Christmas 2026 and ranked them by price per milligram, lab-report transparency and festive practicality. That last one matters. If you do not use balms, a balm-heavy box is just a £38 ornament. We are not here to claim CBD treats anything medical. We are here to stop you paying for cardboard and a tiny sample sachet.

How we zoomed in

For each box we noted the total CBD in milligrams, the price, the cost per milligram, how many doors actually contain CBD, whether the products are full-size or samples, and whether there is a batch certificate of analysis (COA) behind a QR code. We also asked a simple question: would a normal UK shopper use most of this before 25 December?

A sample sachet can be cute, but it is often poor value. A balm is not directly comparable to an oil for milligrams, but it still costs money. We marked down boxes where the lab report was missing or only available on request. Prices are from November 2026 and may move during Black Friday.

The Chill Club Gummy Garland 24 gummies, 7.5mg each 180mg £26.99 15.0p No batch link Cheap but weak
Calm Cabin Tea Light Calendar 20 teas, 4 balms 60mg £22.50 37.5p No Mostly filler

Best value for self-treating

GreenDoor takes the top spot because the maths is clear: 720mg for £54.99 works out at 7.6p per milligram, and the box is mostly oils you can actually dose. The batch QR code goes to a real COA, not a generic 'lab tested' page. If you already use oil daily, this is the box that will not sit in a cupboard until Easter.

Hemp & Hearth is the close second if you prefer gummies. At 480mg for £34.99, it is 7.3p per milligram, which is strong for a gummy calendar. The 20mg per gummy dose is easy to count, and the COA is published by batch. It is not the box for someone who wants full-spectrum oils, but it is honest festive fun.

Best for gifting, and the ones to avoid

Hemp & Hearth wins for gifting because the format is familiar and the price does not look stingy. Brighton Botanicals looks the most giftable, but at 13.7p per milligram you are paying for the bauble-shaped packaging. That is fine if the box is a present, less fine if you are buying it for yourself.

Calm Cabin is the one to avoid if you want CBD value. Sixty milligrams across 20 teas and four balms is 37.5p per milligram. You are buying a tea calendar with a sprinkle of CBD. The CBD Pantry box is better, but the COA only covers the oils, so the teas are harder to check. Little Leaf Labs has excellent paperwork, but 24 sample sachets at 14.5p per milligram is a lot of packaging for 220mg.

The filler trap

Look at how many doors contain CBD-heavy products. A box with 24 doors but only four oils is not a 24-day CBD calendar. It is a gift set with padding. Tea is the classic filler because the milligrams are tiny and the weight is mostly leaves. Balms and bath salts are fine if you use them, but they make cost-per-milligram comparisons messy.

Also check the best-before date. Advent calendars are often produced months in advance. If the box expires in January 2027, fine. If it expires in December 2026, you need to use it fast. And if you are posting a gift, check the Royal Mail cut-off rather than paying for named-day delivery in the last week before Christmas.

Zoom verdict

Best overall: GreenDoor 24-Day Oil Advent. Best gift: Hemp & Hearth Gummy Countdown. Best for full-spectrum fans: North Norfolk Botanics, if you accept the 10.3p per milligram. Avoid Calm Cabin if CBD is the point. Do the pence-per-milligram maths before the tinsel.
